The city’s sweetest event is back to its usual home, the Sant’Ana Market.
With the same goal as always, to show the best and sweetest things that are made in Leiria, this year’s event promises showcookings, pastry battles, Dj’s Sets and, of course, lots of sweetness!
During 3 days entirely dedicated to the local sweets, 11 pastry shops* of the county will take to the heart of the city their most famous sweets and the Brisas do liz, the queens of our sweets and finalists of the contest 7 Sweet Wonders of Portugal, will have a special place.
The Prove Leiria Doçaria will also have a lounge space, of the responsibility of Delta Cafés, one of the sponsors of the event, together with the Ovos Matinados, of Free Range Hens, the Happiest of Portugal.
To liven up the end of the day, the visitors can also count on DJ’s Sets from well-known names of the musical universe of Leiria.
In this return to Sant’Ana Market, the Prove Leiria Doçaria has decided to present the visitors with a cooking battle between Chef Ricardo Raimundo and Chef Rui Lopes and also with two very special showcookings with Chef Ermida and Chef Chakall.
In addition to the entertainment planned for the event, this year’s edition will elect the “Leirienses’ Sweet Choice”, among 11 specialties in competition, one for each bakery, through online voting, between November 6 and 13, with the result revealed on November 14.
All those who vote will be eligible for a final prize, a birthday cake offered by the winning bakery, awarded by lottery.

Admission to Prove Leiria Doçaria is free, which opens its doors on the 12th, at 6pm.
