Located in the parish of Coimbrão, the 600-metre-long freshwater lake has 2 beaches and is a popular spot for fishing, as well as for other activities, such as canoeing.

Though it remains a place of beauty, the landscape surrounding the lake was heavily affected by the 2018 forest fires and a storm that hit the same year.

Now well on its way to recovery, the locale’s characteristic tranquillity is starting to settle back over the area once again.

Served by a café, picnic area and wooden boardwalk, it’s the perfect place for a family trip somewhere unique and peaceful, only a few kilometres away from Pedrógão Beach.
