An Italian family like so many others reunites to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary of Alma and Pietro, the patriarchs.
The event takes place in Ischia, the small island where the elderly couple has lived for several decades.
Everything goes well until a storm forces the authorities to cancel all ferries leaving the island.
This forces the guests to extend their stay until the storm passes.
What could be a pleasant prolongation of the festivities turns into a nightmare, bringing up all sorts of resentments and giving rise to the most unexpected discussions.
In an open-air cinema format, the curtains open at 9:30 pm, with free entrance limited to the capacity of the space.
